Hi friends!! Full interview on my YouTube channel now!! 💚✨

I had the opportunity to interview the UK climate minister Katie White about climate education and one of the main questions you guys raised was about climate anxiety. How can we teach young people the real scale of the climate crisis, without inducing a sense of hopelessness?

I have so many friends who work in climate and care deeply, but have come close to quitting because the eco anxiety and grief is too much.

I’m a biggg fan of teaching climate education not just through a theoretical lens, but also an emotional one. We need to help young people connect to their feelings of sadness, loss and anger to also inspire the hope and optimism we need to improve things. 🦋

I’m so grateful to have connected with some amazinggg grassroots climate education groups following this meeting!! More nature-based education and systems-thinking for all <3
ep1 of 3! I was invited for a private meeting with UK Climate Minister Katie White in Parliament (which is absolute madness) to discuss all things climate education. For transparency, I had to forward my questions in advance, and not all of the interview was recorded. These are just some snippets I could share! I’m posting the full video on YT on sunday if you’re interested 🫶

Honestly, I was so positively surprised by the meeting. Katie was super down to earth, willing to listen and take my concerns (and your questions!) back with her to the relevant people. Come on women in power!!!

I’m under no illusion that ONE meeting will meaningfully transform anything, but I do hope that I can keep using these opportunities to learn about different stakeholder perspectives and get into the right rooms to make the education system more human — for students, teachers and the future of learning!! Yay to more experiential, interdisciplinary, nature-based education <3
It’s my birthday!!! Yippeeeee 🍀 I’m born on St Patrick’s Day and it’s always been my dream to one day visit Ireland - AND I’M HERE!! In Dublin! The land of the leprechauns and the shamrocks and the… Guinness?? hahaha I’ve already bumped into so many of you guys and it’s been wonderful.

Fun fact: my Mum worked for Guinness when she gave birth to me, so it was always a huuuge deal in the office that I was born on their “most important day of the year”. (Even though they would likely be disappointed that I am the absolute opposite of a drinker hahaha. Grandma energy over Guinness…).

We attended a wonderful walking tour about mythology and folklore, danced to riverdance jigs and strolled through the green-filled parading streets.

It’s been an absolute JOY and I feel so so so lucky to be experiencing it all with my gorgeous friend @kw.ok . An absolute bucket list moment for me!!

I’m sending you all so much luck and love.
Here’s to another turn around the sun 🍀✨💫
