From MESS to TIDY in one evening 💪

Our utility room had officially become a dumping ground. Tools everywhere, boxes piled up, the lot. We couldn’t find anything when we needed it so it was time for a proper clear out and a bit of organisation.

With a bit of help from Black Friday at @Screwfix ad we’ve finally got it sorted. Everything has now got a place thanks to the new tool storage system, and the impact driver is already earning its keep putting up the little bracket I made out of some old wood.

And, in true tight Yorkshireman style, I couldn’t resist grabbing a new pressure washer while it’s discounted (ready for jet washing the patio because it turns slippery every winter if I don’t borrow my brother in laws, his garage is like a tool hire place 😂)

If you’re like us and you’ve got a ‘few jobs’ (understatement of the year) to crack on with, now’s the time. Black Friday deals are live across Screwfix but be quick because you’ve only got until the 1st of December. The links in our bio 🎉

And like always, if you’ve read this far, thanks for reading the mumblings of mumbler, and drop us a comment but try to sneak the word ‘muck’ in there somewhere (the Yorkshire word for dirt and mess) The last comments were gold so let’s see who comes up with the best one 😂

Have a super week and we’ll see you in the next one 🥰

ad DON’T do what we did 😩

We left our tools in the room when we knocked all the plaster off and the tools were COVERED in dust and bits of rubble 🤦‍♂️So much so that the next time I used them they kept cutting out (I’d gunked up all the contacts on the tools and the batteries). But being the ‘prepared for anything’ person I am, I keep different WD-40 cans EVERYWHERE. I’ve got contact cleaner and multi-use spray in my tool bag. I keep a mini bottle in my car, and my toolbox at the office. I’ve even snuck some in the boot of Nici’s car, which she doesn’t know about 🤫 so when these tools stopped working, I grabbed the WD-40 specialist contact cleaner and started spraying. What’s brill about it is it’s fast-drying, and it’s safe on plastics because I’m a bit gung-ho when it comes to spraying it, and best of all it restores conductivity so no need to replace anything 👌

So yeah, I’m a bit @WD-40 UK mad, I really want a WD-40 baseball cap (does that make me a bit crazy?)

Drop us a comment if you’re like me and like to be prepared for everything, or are you more of a wing it and see kind of person. (I think being a ‘I’ll keep that scrap of wood just in case’ person says it all)

And if you want me to do a video on how over the top I am and what I keep in the car let me know, Nici thinks I’m crazy but I just think it’s good planning 🤷‍♂️😂

I’ll not be falling through the floorboards now.

I’ve had this pencil ages and thought it’s about time I let everyone else one how good they are.

Ant INFESTATION day 3

We're slowly getting through everyone's suggestions but please keep them coming
WE WILL TRY ANYTHING TO GET RID OF THEM (apart from burning the house down, which was a suggestion 😅)

We're finding more and more but thankfully still not on the stairs or upstairs

We've lived here 12 years and never had any ants in the house, but the whole house is a DIY renovation with us buying next door to knock through into, so maybe we've disturbed something 🤷‍♂️ drop us a comment on what you think, and if you've got any other suggestions too we're open to anything.

Thank you in advance ❤️
