Hi! I’m Steph, a homeschooling mom of 5 boys. I’ve been homeschooling for over 10 years learned a lot during our journey! 🫶🏼👩🏼‍🏫 We used to school year round, full school weeks with longer breaks during the year. It wasn’t our kids who experienced the most burnout though, it was me. A few years ago, we stopped doing full school weeks during the traditional school year and instead, dropped down to 4 days. It was life changing for all of us. I’ve been asked a lot lately if we will be taking the summer off this year and my answer is easy: no. We won’t be doing our regular 4 day weeks, instead we’ll be cutting them in half to keep our boys sharp so that we don’t struggle to get back into our school routine come September! Summer is supposed to be fun, memorable, and a time to break & recharge - I’m here to tell you it can be all of those things AND set you up for success when the next school year comes back around!
