The only 2 tips you need!!

So many people go out and buy whatever they see a natural hair creator uses

Personally I can work with most hair products. That is why you won’t hear me say a products has grown my hair.

Products can help or maintain the health of your hair. Healthy hair will retain length.

My top 2 tips to focus on is:

Detangling: when you wash your hair take stock of how much hair you shed per wash day and notice what is normal and what isn’t for your head of hair.

When you detangle your hair that ball of hair is made up of broken hair, natural shed hair and forced shed hair. Figure out the method what sees that ball of hair the smallest.

So maybe you have to detangle before you shampoo, maybe you have to shampoo/condition your hair in sections for least amount of tension. Find a conditioner you love that gives your hair slip. I have a few favourites if you need suggestions for your thick coarse textured hair!

2. I personally style my hair on wash day and I don’t do anything else to my hair until the next wash day. So limit home much you are styling your hair. Choose a style that can last you until your next wash day.

Limit tight/tension styles. Limit the amount of time style your hair between hair wash days.

DON’T 🚫⛔️🚯

Don’t just trust how nice people’s hair look in videos, read the reviews for the benefit of your hair health, your money and your time.

My experience
1. The first time I used this product I enjoyed the product so much. So much so I thought I should film using it.

2. From the first experience I filmed the second time I used the product because I wanted to share how great it was.

HOWEVER on the second try I liken the experience like having a raw butter in my hair. It made my hair so stiff. I couldn’t even detangle my hair.

Some will say a hair mark isn’t a detangling product and that’s true but I like a treatment mask that doesn’t add another step to my wash day routine.

3. If I use a mask it has to do what a conditioner does but better.

4. I had to rinse out the product I applied and condition my hair and detangle. I then added the mask again to see if that would help.

5. I tried to detangle one section of my hair with the mask and the amount of hair that was coming out compared to the amount of hair fall with my best conditioner on the rest of the other 3 sections of my hair told me this product mask was causing me to rip my hair out.

6. The mask is so heavy my curls stayed stiff straight when I detangled with it.

7. It created tangles that wasn’t there. It created an issue!

8. So why was the first experience so good and the second and third so bad? Maybe it was reacting to the products I had previously used in my hair making it easier? Who knows..

9. On the 3rd attempt, I decided to use it after conditioning my hair rather than after shampooing and the same issues cropped up! My hair was stiff, product could not detangle, it created tangles on pre detangled hair, it weighed down my curls and my hair felt rough and like straw.

That’s not to say I wouldn’t try other things from the brand but this mask made my wash day frustrating.
