I’M NOT SUGGESTING THAT WE ALL START LIVING THIS WAY. HOWEVER….

These stories (Like this one about my own brother) are so so important.

In a country where land access and privatisation is a perversion of our own true nature how can we still feel a sense of home on our land?

In a system that perpetuates the divide between us and our natural origins how can we allow people to reconnect with the land on which they call home?

In a world where the one size fits all model of education and socio-economics, how can those that think and exist differently requiring extra-ordinary support be allowed to flourish?

We are not untethered nodes floating around in empty space (although the way people live now I could be mistaken)

We are deeply connected to one another and the environment, relying deeply on complex systems both natural and man made.

I'm suggesting that we find some sort of symbiosis between these systems and in my opinion it means moving away from our hyper individualised society and its one of more collective presence and reciprocity.

I dont have all the answers but I’ve got a hell of alot of suggestions and will continue to explore these in future work.

There are more films to come that speak to these themes.

It feels very personal to be sharing this.

Earlier this year I went to shoot a documentary about my brother,
who’s unique circumstances sit somewhere between homelessness and choosing to live outdoors.

I feel like his story touches on so many aspects of life: living off grid & off the land, isolation, happiness, adventure, neurodivergence & mental health, adversity & transformation, fulfilment, systemic issues in society… I could go on!

I finally finished the doc a couple of weeks ago and excited to present the trailer here with our plan to release the full doc on our YT channels next week!

If you are interested his handle is Nomad_Sam and you can watch the full film there.
