Brb just reliving the dreamiest of honeymoons 🥹🫶🏼
It wasn’t meant to be 😭

I was on target, feeling good, second female and then a guy just caught my foot and I took a nasty fall 8 miles in.

I got back up, carried on, called Mark and my mum, cried my heart out and gave it everything.

Less than an hour later I took an even worse fall. My elbow didn’t look right, I cried again this time in the arms of a random lady who stopped and just cuddled me, I cannot thank her enough. A few passers-by patched me up and I grinned and bared it and carried on.

More determined than ever, at mile 16 I saw my incredible husband, Laura, Pete and the pugs, they patched me up, fuelled me and dosed me up on pain relief so I could keep going.

And I did, I made it, I don’t know how but I crossed that finish line in just over 6 hours. Not the time I wanted but I gave it absolutely everything.

The medic wasn’t sure if my elbow was broken so I was sent to A&E, thankfully my knees didn’t need stitches or glue but the elbow has been sent for review because of previous damage, they’re not sure if it’s broken, I’ll know more tomorrow.

Right now I’m heartbroken, I sobbed my heart out but it just wasn’t my race, it wasn’t meant to be but I finished, I carried on when everything in me wanted to stop because when I say I’ll do something, I bloody well do it. 

And I will come back stronger, 1.5 months to get fit for my ultra 🩷
