Easy peasy satay chicken fakeaway. ⬇️⁣
⁣
You’ll require. ⁣
⁣
One clove of garlic ⁣
Red curry paste ⁣
20 mL of soy sauce ⁣
50 g of peanut butter ⁣
2 teaspoons of brown sugar ⁣
150 mL of light coconut milk ⁣
One onion ⁣
One red pepper ⁣
400 g of chicken breast ⁣
30 g of cornflour ⁣
1 teaspoon of paprika ⁣
1 teaspoon of onion salt ⁣
Coriander ⁣
MSG ⁣
Salt ⁣
140 g of basmati rice⁣
⁣
Instructions. ⁣
⁣
Start by heating a pan over low heat. Add one minced clove of garlic, red curry paste, soy sauce, and peanut butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is well combined and smooth. Next, add brown sugar and coconut milk, stirring vigorously on low heat until the sauce starts to thicken slightly. Once thickened, pour the sauce into a Tupperware container and set it aside.⁣
⁣
Cut the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces and set them aside. In a separate bowl, combine 30g of cornflour with a teaspoon of paprika, some MSG, onion salt, and regular salt. Mix well. Coat each piece of chicken in the cornflour mixture, ensuring it's evenly covered. Place the coated chicken pieces on a tray and bake in the oven at 200°C for 15 minutes, or until fully cooked through.⁣
⁣
While the chicken is baking, fry a sliced pepper and onion in a pan until they start to soften. Once the chicken is cooked, add it to the pan with the vegetables. Pour in the satay sauce, adding a little bit of water if needed to bring it all together. Let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until everything is heated through.⁣
⁣
Serve the dish over basmati rice, garnished with some fresh coriander. Optionally, drizzle any leftover satay sauce on top before serving.⁣

Slow Cooker Beef Bourguignon. 🇫🇷

Here is the ingredients that you need. ⬇️

700g of brisket.
Lots of mushrooms
2 chopped onions
1kg baby boiled potatoes
4 garlic cloves
10 mL of tomato purée
800 mL of beef stock
250 mL of red wine preferably a burgundy.
Parsley
Thyme
Four slices of bacon
30 g of White flour

1. Start by chopping your brisket into small pieces, then coat it with olive oil, flour, and salt. Fry the pieces in a pan until they’re golden and crispy.

2. Next, place the brisket in your slow cooker along with mushrooms, onions, garlic cloves, beef stock, tomato purée, and red wine. Let this stew on low heat for about 7 to 9 hours. Alternatively, you can speed up the process by cooking on high for 3 to 5 hours, depending on your preferred consistency.

3. About 30 minutes before serving, turn off the heat and add some parsley, thyme, and cooked bacon.

4. Serve it up with some tiger bread—though a baguette is more traditional, tiger bread is arguably better. Change my mind. 👀

Makes about 5 portions.
