3 wheelchair misconceptions I had at my first wheelchair fitting.
VD: letty is a young white person with a blonde bob. They are talking to the camera. At a few points they show images on screen to illustrate their point, these are: wheelchair handrims called “shove a lugs” which are round projections on the wheelchair handrims giving the user something to grip onto that wont move. They also show images comparing folding and rigid chairs. The first folding chair has the wheels and backrest on and is folded wheel to wheel so has quite a big area despite being very thin. The other chair has the backrest folded down and the wheels removed and is smaller side on but larger in the other dimensions. Its more cube like and the other one is more like a pancake. There is also another chair briefly shown on screen which combines both types of folding and so is really compact - it has the backrest folded down, wheels removed, and also folds wheel to wheel and part of the frame is folded tucked under too. End VD.

I love this sport. Its everything people dont expect of disabled people.
VD: compilation video of letty, who is a young white person with bob length blonde hair with 2 little plaits. They are playing wheelchair rugby at an all womens development meet. In the video they are bashing into their opponents and their opponents are bashing into them. Often players will pass just before the impact. They are all sat in reinforced rugby wheelchairs that are designed to take an impact.

VD: Letty replies to a comment whixh reads: is that a Tilite ZR i see? letty is sat in a tilite ZR wheelchair it is brushed titanium, with black parts. Its sleek and compact. Letty goes through and describes each of the features of the chair, often whilst sat in a wheelie. The wheelchair is a almost fully welded mono frame chair. It has black plastic castor wheels, black single sided titanium castor forks, a black angle adjustable footplate, black fabric calf strap, black triride brackets, one black scissor lock brake, aluminum one piece seatplate and sideguards, black stimulite cushion, low height, slightly contoured black fabric and carbon fibre backrest by matrx. The main wheels are 25 inch bladed XLX spinergies with white spokes, they have marathon plus tyres and the smaller sized LT surge pushrims.

been rehabbing these 10 meters for a good reason.

VD: letty is a young white person and hamish is their dad - a middle aged white man. They are stood on shingle at an estuary with a canoe in the background. Letty is being held with one arm by hamish and has a quad cane in the other hand. They are shuffle stepping towards the canoe and then lower onto a seat. They are then filmed from above sat in the canoe talking. They show they are sat on a wheelchair cushion on their bench, have their manual wheelchair sat behind them, and one of the wheels is behind their back with another wheelchair cushion on it making a backrest. They have their quad cane in the front and carbon fibre AFOs on their feet. Theres an ikea bad in the front for bum shuffling if needed. Letty says: all good to go! and the camera pans towards the sea. As the music starts, the video changes to be short clips of the views canoe trip. Water flowing over rocks in the shallows, the seven sisters cliff faces, a swan walking off the river onto the bank, a view of the sky with a paddle moving across it, a hill with a blue sky and pink clouds in the background, hamish smiling whilst paddling, the sun reflecting on the water, sun setting over the hills, the reeds looking bright orange in the dusk, and silhouetted grasses on the river bank against the fading light. End VD.
