what you need:
1.5-2 lbs thinly sliced beef brisket (or ground beef!)
1 onion, sliced
⅓ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp sugar (i used applesauce!)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp dashi powder

how to make it:
slice onion and sauté until fragrant
add in thinly sliced beef
mix sauce ingredients together and pour over beef
close lid and let cook for 3 minutes or until fully cooked through
garnish with sesame seeds and green onions
serve over rice

you’ll need:
frozen marinated eel from your local asian market + sushi rice (white rice + rice vinegar + sugar) + avocado.

steps:
thaw unagi
slice diagonally
microwave until heated through (~1 minute)
serve over sushi rice and top with furikake, togarashi, green onions and a drizzle of sriracha.

pro tip: no time to make sushi rice? just use plain white rice. still so good!
