£12. That is all I spent this afternoon at @barnardosretail, and I came home with a wardrobe refresh that feels genuinely special. ♻️💛

Every piece here is second-hand, either thrifted today or styled with pre-loved gems I already owned. It still blows my mind that if clothing production stopped right now, there are enough clothes on the planet to dress the next seven generations. That knowledge changed everything for me.

Highlights include these @nobodyschild high-waist bow trousers for £3.50, originally around £85, and this beautifully soft 100% cotton Isles jumper, a sub-brand of @theedinburghwoollenmill, also £3.50. I added leggings and yoga trousers for £1 each, plus quality cotton chinos that will last for years.

Styled with pieces I already love, including pre-loved @clarksshoes Mary Janes, a top from @vinted, a glass necklace gifted by a friend, and my peacock feather earrings from @etsy.

Second-hand is not about missing out. It is about choosing better, for your wardrobe and the planet. 💚

Last week was a busy one but honestly so inspiring and totally worth it ✨

First up was the Nurturing Innovation Across Central Bedfordshire event at Cranfield University. So much brilliant conversation about business growth, creativity and what’s coming next for our region.

Then in the evening I headed to @the.flourish.social.hub Networking with the lovely @upstyleme ladies. Their shop in Toddington is full of gorgeous pieces, lots of made in Italy too… perfect for the festive season 👗✨

On Thursday I went to the Santander X Awards as part of the mentorship programme I am on this year. Deborah Meaden and Claire Williams were judging, and both were so inspiring. The businesses pitching completely blew me away.

Eco packaging made from onion waste.
Denim made from banana waste.
Reusable period products for women in developing countries.
A business employing people with Down syndrome to make socks.
A more comfortable prosthetic breast created after a mum’s mastectomy.
And even an app being built to diagnose Parkinson’s earlier.

I left feeling hopeful, motivated and so connected to the power of entrepreneurship 💛
