The first time I took Kimaarah to @disneyonice she was 3, we were both wowed 🤩 I’ve continued to make it a tradition for us to go almost every year. We’ve been in 2018, 2019, booked for 2021 but was cancelled due to restrictions, 2023 Kimaarah went twice (check comments for why) and our most recent trip was just myself and Reuben who’s the same age as Kimaarah when she first went!

Over time I’ve learnt the best ways to book and to get the most out of the experience to feel the magic ✨ of this amazing show!

1. Become a @feldentertainment priority member (it’s free to sign up!) they will send you an email with presale code so that you can book those coveted rink side seats before anyone else ✨ they go like gold dust so be fast ✨

2. Merch and snacks are extortionate when you go - think actual Disney World prices like £34 for a cuddly toy and £14 for candy floss yes really 😮 skip the stuff which isn’t going to last or get used at home but on our recent trip we got a photo done for £16 which I can treasure forever!

3. If you’re going to Disney on Ice at @theo2london it is extremely busy so arrive within plenty of time and consider having a meal after the show rather than before as queues for restaurants can be long and service can also be slow. There are so many restaurants here for all budgets and also a great shopping area. There’s also Tesco express and Sainsburys local outside to buy snacks before you go in!

4. Emma, is it okay for a 3 year old (or younger?) absolutely yes! The Disney magic is for all ages. The show lasts around 2 hours with an interval so it’s manageable. I always see people with babies and toddlers when I go.

5. Dressing up is encouraged so children can wear their princess dresses / character costumes & clothing but anything goes and if you don’t want to dress up that’s okay too! Everyone is welcome 😍

6. Probably my biggest tip, if you’re going to the o2 don’t book seats on level 4! It is so so high up 😰 even I’ve struggled at previous concerts on my own. I wouldn’t take children there and because Disney on Ice doesn’t use screens to show the event the performers probably look like ants from up there!

Today’s been a lot!!! 😮‍💨🫠

Woke up at about 5:30am from the eczema that has been irritating me for how many nights I can’t remember. Of course I’m having a visit from that time of the month and didn’t have any supplies so before the sun even comes up I’m in Aldi grabbing some 🫠🫠

Our microwaves been broken for about a month but luckily for us we got some Christmas money so off we went to buy a new one (just the Christmas present I was hoping for 🤣)

In Argos they had a blow up gingerbread man, of course Reuben decided to somehow deflate that while Kimaarah moaned about how she ‘didn’t want to be there’ sorry I never knew you had anything better to do apart from watching non stop YouTube and saying ‘sixxx sevennnn’

A McDonald’s drive through quickly cheered the kids up while we went to collect some cupcakes from our favourite @cakewizard1

One more last minute Christmas present collected on the way home and then it was time to chill, by the time we got home I was so tired, I had a headache, couldn’t stop sneezing and actually fell asleep.

This evening has been filled with crying from both the hormonal pre teen and the 3 year old who has been demanding boo-boo and not taking no for an answer 😮‍💨

It’s now 7:30 and I’m lying on the sofa trying not to lose the will to live

If any mums feel the same after today you’re not alone!

On the plus side we managed to get our ‘Best Ever Yule Log’ from @marksandspencerfood with no issues this year 😍 roll on Christmas Day when we are allowed to eat it 🤣
2 years ago today I received an eviction notice through no fault of my own, just 5 days before Christmas 😮😭

I was heartbroken. And tried to put a brave face for the kids but it was so hard as my mental health had already took a battering throughout my pregnancy with Reuben

At the time I didn’t know what I was going to do, and didn’t feel like there was a way out, I had some really dark thoughts but kept myself going for the children ❤️

People do not realise how hard this situation is until you go through it. I received advice from @sheltercharity who are amazing in all things housing 🏡 I did not receive help from my council who decided I haven’t lived in the area for long enough but me & my boyfriend managed to find a lovely home for us all.

Fast forward 2 years and life looks very different. It’s not easy I still struggle with mental health but I try and push myself as much as possible to enjoy life, as I tell myself I deserve to enjoy it and be happy, as I always try to be a good person and bring good to others ❤️✨

To anyone going through something unexpected around Christmas. I know it feels that your world is crumbling but try to trust that there is a bigger picture and plan. I believe in the universe and I know a lot of people here have their religion as well. What ever you believe in just remember tough times don’t last ❤️ only tough people last ❤️ you may not feel strong now and that’s okay but you will get through it ❤️

Raising daughters is no joke, 10 years old and wants a lip balm that costs £19 🤣😳😮‍💨🫠 @laneige_uk @sephora

Babe when I was your age I had them lip smackers from Superdrug 🤣

Luckily this was on holiday and she used her own money 🤪
