most peaceful way to spend a 21st if you ask me 🐟

My 21st birthday was OVERWHELMING me so much - I was crying everyday leading up to it because i felt pressured to make a plan. As you guys know I really struggle with my mental health and personally I struggle to plan ahead for things (especially if it’s not something i’m really eager for) anyways I told my instagram family and you beautiful people reminded me to just spend the day doing what currently brings me joy and peace - which is this 🏞️

I went for a dip in the morning, THE FIRST RIVER WAS FREEZING!! then I just chilled at home with my family had some cake, then in the evening me, my sister and her boyfriend went for a bike ride, we pulled up to the most gorgeosus swim spot (I didn’t realise we would be near water on da bike ride else I deffo would of bought a costume 👙) it would of been rude not too so i went in, in my pants 💙

i was so worried i would have a terrible day so i’m happy i was able to make it good for myself - little reminder if you have a birthday coming up, spend the day doing what YOU WANT 💖 also dont panic ur just another year older and you should be proud you made it this far #mentalhealthjourney #autismacceptance #Neurodivergent #outdoorsygirl #21
*scared edition*

I was actually petrified to go into the deep bit of this quarry (this place is an old mine shaft which is 660ft deep so that in itself scaresssss me - irrational fears like somethings gonna come up and pull me under😖
anyways this day I woke up feeling so distressed and upset but by the end I was so happy and pumped for the day.

I’m constantly relearning the lesson that - one should do something for themselves (that brings you joy or just simply regulates you’re emotions) before pressuring yourself into productivity, in order to actually feel better within each day - granted I may not always have time for a swim but the idea stands to do something for yourself that makes you feel good about yourself before hitting the day.

video from class a few weeks ago

After not dancing for two and a bit years, I’m so proud of myself for finding a way to get back into it (it was a big mental hurdle for sure) I have a lot I wanna talk about as an ‘ex-dancer’ finding her way back, but it’s getting late and I wanna post this dance lol, but tomorrow I’m gonna post my story of dropping out of dance college, having shit mental health throughout all of my dancing years and then at dance college, ect… but for now just enjoy the groove, we can get deep about it tomorrow (or sometime soon whoops lol)

good night and sleep well! x

If you have struggled through winter, know your not alone, the cold, wet, gloomy days really do not help when you’re already struggling mentally.

If I’m being super honest I’ve been ‘miserable’ throughout this winter (not something I’m happy to admit but it is the truth).

For me going outside has always been my escape, if you’ve been following me for awhile you know that my first plan is to go directly to the beach when feeling down. however when the outside is just as dark as my thoughts (lol, that wasn’t even meant to be funny but it is), going outside doesn’t quite help the way it does in summer.

I can’t say I’ve got winter figured out, I really don’t and tbh I do not want to do another uk winter, but I do keeping myself active and sticking to my dance classes have definitely helped me stay afloat and get out of the house when I can’t see another reason to.

All this being said, I have been so enjoying seeing a little bit more sunshine the last few days 🕶️🌞
